The short version
Calcumatrix does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not collect the inputs you type into our calculators. Every calculator runs entirely in your web browser — your numbers never leave your device. We do collect anonymous traffic statistics (page views, country, device type) through Google Analytics, and we serve ads through Google AdSense, which uses cookies to personalize the ads you see. You can opt out of both.
Who we are
Calcumatrix is operated by the Calcumatrix Editorial Team. Our contact email is contact@bblog.icu. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Information you provide
If you email us through our contact page or directly at contact@bblog.icu, we receive whatever name, email address, and message you choose to share. We use this only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we delete contact emails after 24 months unless you request an ongoing correspondence.
Information collected automatically
When you visit Calcumatrix, our servers and third-party services collect the following information automatically:
- Server logs: IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, pages visited, time of visit, and exit page. Stored for 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
- Google Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized traffic data including page views, session duration, bounce rate, device type, approximate geographic location (country/region), and traffic source. We use this to understand which calculators and articles are useful and to improve the site.
- Google AdSense cookies: Cookies that allow AdSense to serve ads based on your visit to this and other websites. See the "Advertising" section below.
What we do NOT collect
We want to be explicit about this:
- Calculator inputs. The numbers you type into our calculators (your salary, your debts, your sleep hours) never leave your browser. They are not transmitted to our servers, not stored, not logged. You can verify this in your browser\'s developer tools — the calculations happen entirely client-side in JavaScript.
- Account information. We do not have accounts. We do not ask you to register, log in, or subscribe.
- Personally identifiable information beyond what you voluntarily provide in a contact email.
- Health, financial, or other sensitive data. Even if you type sensitive information into our health or finance calculators, it is processed locally and never transmitted.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to emails you send us.
- Understand which calculators and articles are most used, so we can improve and prioritize.
- Diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse (DDoS, scraping, fraud).
- Serve relevant advertising through Google AdSense.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Advertising and Google AdSense
Calcumatrix is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This allows Google and its partners to personalize ads based on your browsing history.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in several ways:
- Visit Google Ads Settings to manage your ad personalization preferences.
- Visit aboutads.info/choices to opt out of personalized ads from participating companies.
- Visit youronlinechoices.eu if you are in the European Economic Area.
- Enable your browser\'s "Do Not Track" setting (we honor this where technically possible).
- Use a privacy-focused browser like Firefox, Brave, or Safari with tracking protection enabled.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user\'s previous visits to this website or other websites. Google\'s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Cookies we use
Calcumatrix uses the following cookies:
- Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat): Used to distinguish unique users and throttle requests. Persist for 24 hours to 2 years.
- Google AdSense cookies (IDE, NID, etc.): Used to serve personalized ads. Persist for up to 13 months.
- Essential cookies: Any cookies required for the site to function (we currently use none).
We do not set first-party tracking cookies. We do not use Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, or other social media tracking pixels.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. COPPA-compliant ads are served where required by Google AdSense.
Data security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data: HTTPS encryption for all traffic, secure server configuration, regular security updates, and limited access to server logs. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
Third-party links
Our calculators and articles contain links to third-party websites (IRS.gov, FSI, peer-reviewed studies, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reading their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.
